AbstractThe eyes are used to perceive the environment, but are also an important part of communication. An anthropomorphic robot can enhance its abilities in perception and communication by moving its eyes. The development of a biomimetic oculomotor control software, which provides saccade, vergence, smooth pursuit, and vestibulo-ocular reflex movements, will be described in this thesis.
